British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain waved the “piece of paper” (the Anglo-German Declaration) to a crowd at Heston Aerodrome in London on 30 September 1938. “I believe it is a peace of our time” he declared emphatically. The declaration promised both the nations will adhere to Munich Agreement (by which Germany was given major portion of Czechoslovakia) and never go for warfare against each other. Just a year later precisely on 3rd September 1939 Britain was at war with Germany as later had invaded Poland, an ally of Britain thereby starting a cascading chain of event which we call as World War 2 (1939-1945).

Very few scholars talked about what was going on behind the curtains in those days. The dialogues preceding Munich Agreement (September 1939) was nothing but a time buying event on part of Germany and Britain to prepare for great war. By the time of war in September 1939 Germany had almost 1 crore army whereas Britain had almost 10 Lakhs battle ready force.

In The Origins of the Second World War, historian AJP Taylor argued that the war began due to right wing aggression across Europe. Germany (Nazi), Britain (Conservative Party), Japan (Monarchial Government) and Italy (Italian Fascist Party) all were ruled by right wing parties in those time. Even though USSR was a participant the war was played in between Britain and Germany with their own rightist versions colliding with each other. Britain wanted their Imperial Empire intact whereas Hitler was adamant on his Lebensraum i.e. great living space for Germans. It was nothing but a collective suicide brought upon by rightist for Europe. Neither Rightist nor Europe have been able to recover from the setback. It costed humanity more than trillions of dollars and almost 5 crore plus in human death toll.

Take on Iran War:

The conditions of contemporary geopolitical situation resembles to that of Europe in 1939. No restrains on global politics by any world leader; each leader having parochial attitude of considering their own gains (not of their countries); and scarce regards for the people and aspirations of humanity.

On February 28, 2026, President Donald Trump announced that the United States and Israel had launched a massive military operation against Iran, titled Operation Epic Fury. The strikes have targeted Iranian leadership, military infrastructure, and nuclear sites, reportedly resulting in the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other top officials.

Trump has explicitly called for the overthrow of the Iranian government, urging the Iranian people to “take over your government” and telling Iranian military forces to “lay down your weapons” in exchange for immunity.
The conservative revolution of 1979 by Ruhollah Khomeini, an Islamist cleric indeed altered the situation of Iran as it made country an adherent to Islamic religion and laws.

I personally think that no country shall ever have to go through the ordeal of conservative rule but that does not give any imperial power any right to overthrow that country’s sovereign leadership or rather murder it as in the case of Iran. The changes shall always be brought about from within for its longevity. Since changes are now enforced upon Iran it must now embrace the worst of foreign intervention.

The Real Motives behind Iran misadventure:

No matter whatsoever Mr. Trump say to justify his version, even a layman will understand the real objectives behind such attack is to install a puppet regime most probably headed by son of former Shah of Iran whose family (i.e. Pahlavi dynasty) has remained a crucial ally of USA throughout the 20th century. This will not only put global oil reserves in the hand of right wing dominated governments across the world but also may give them advantage of controlling oil supply lines.

The real motives behind Venezuelan endeavor to arrest Mr. Maduro and install a puppet regime there is furthermore clear now. The supplies of Venezuela were needed before attack on Iran and destabilizing middle east. The oil drives the lobal economy. Even the technology is bereft without a steady supply of oil. The way China is surpassing USA in technology must be ringing the alarm bell in white house and pentagon. It is this background one must understand Trump’s aggressive policies ever since he assumed second term since January 2025.

In my opinion the rightist are preparing for a one final confrontation with global left that is now dominated by Putin, Xi and Kim. Such plan, if it is in the offing will put the humanity at catastrophe let alone any nation-state.

Rightist Vs Leftist debate

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni delivered the specific statement during a video address to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on February 22, 2025. In her address she stated, “When President Trump, Milei, Modi and I talk, we are immediately called a threat to democracy. But when Bill Clinton and Tony Blair created the global leftist liberal network in the 1990s, they were called statesmen. That’s the left’s double standard.”

One must understand here that Clinton and Blair worked for global peace and not destruction like rightists and hence they were celebrated. What is there to celebrate in Trump or Modi or Netanyahu? Destruction of their own country or trampling of modernism on altar of revivalism? or their common islamophobia?

The problem with rightist countries are their version of nationalism. Such nationalism heavily rely of religion, pride and glory. The concoction of all three often creates a system that never bows down to outside aggression which create a base for perpetual conflict and ultimate collapse of that nation-state. Iran is on that path now. Syria, Lybia, Afghanistan all have suffered such fate once American forces were on their soil. Add it up with financial and intellectual strength of Lefts across the world and matter becomes much worse. No scholar can deny the fact that Afghanistan or Syria plan of USA failed because of intervention of China and Russia.

Hence restraints are needed. It was the role of United Nations which was created with the objective of collective security but it is too failing now. Further there is no leader which seem capable to intervene in international relations and act as an intermediator which is conflagrating the situation.

Role of our great Nation called India i.e. Bharat:

Never have I ever seen a situation in our country whereby a significant majority is supporting a proven genocidal regime (i.e. Israel) and person with allegations of pedophilia (Epstein Files). In fact the mainstream media and so called scholars are trying hard to convince Indians to find opportunities in this war.

Honorable Prime Minister recently signed a trade deal with USA in their favour. He also went to Israel and signed “Special Strategic Partnership for Peace, Innovation and Prosperity”. They just forgot to mention it clearly that such world shall be devoid of Muslims. The islamophobia of Trump, Netanyahu and Modi is afterall well known.

Honorable Prime Minister Modiji is also know critic of Prime Minister Nehru and in that hate he has already given up on Non Alignment. The politics of Modiji is now clearly aligned to Global Right and Capitalist and in this quest he has brought India more closure to being an actual participant in war rather than benefiting from the war as a mediator or as a third party.

So how can India reap benefits in Iran? Does Prime Minister have any diplomatic advantage or has he propelled India to a techno-economic powerhouse to wring benefits out of this war on negotiating table when the war will be over? Or will India be even called to such negotiating table at all?

This are the questions that each Indian need to answer in his mind to understand India’s deteriorating position globally. Any person who still thinks Iran will bring good deal for India is still a delusional person who does not want to understand the politics or wants to believe in self proclaimed pride, glory and nationalism.

However do understand one thing, with each passing diplomatic maneuver India is moving more closer to being a neo-colonial, neo-imperial and a subservient nations. And you all will be accountable for such India to our future generations.
